Search Assistant is an easy to use program for creating Advanced Query Syntax (AQS) searches for Windows Desktop Search. It allows you to create complex where clauses based on a file's properties as well as searching for text. The results of your searches can be displayed in the Search Assistant's own results window or your search can be passed directly to Windows Explorer

If you select a date property it will prompt for a date, select a folder property and your prompt will have a button for a folder selection window, a yes or no property and your prompt will change to a radio button and select a property with a fixed set a values and you will see a combo box with the valid values to choose from.

Smart Property Selection - Using Smart property selection Search Assistant can show you just the properties you need to see. Tell Search Assistant what kind of file you are looking for and it will show you only properties relevant to those files.
