SP Accelerator 2009 -Business Edition 2009
The Business edition is best suited for roaming Information Workers who require outlook integration and an online/offline search experience with bidirectional synchronization at their finger tips.
The outlook integration allows users to drag and drop e-mails directly into their offline client, these e-mails will then be synchronized with the relevant SharePoint document library. By configuring the optional setting the client can synchronize content as it is added, which will ensure the SharePoint server is as up to date as possible. When e-mails are added various optional settings allow the title, to, from, body and attachments data of the e-mails to be stored in the relevant fields.
If the user has enough permission, the offline client will automatically add the relevant e-mail related fields to the SharePoint document library; this is a great time saver as it prevents you having to request an administrator to manually add the relevant fields using a custom SharePoint list template. Administrators who have the client can have the fields automatically provisioned so that they do not have to do any special administrative tasks to e-mail enable the document library.
The online and offline search functionality is a feature which provides direct search capabilities against the SharePoint servers. This will allow you to crawl multiple SharePoint servers for specific search criteria - even when those servers are not configured to communicate with each other using the Shared Service provider (SSP).
Once the search results are returned you can save them into the search directory cache so that you can view the search results online or offline. A phenomenal feature which is scarcely found in SharePoint search clients is the ability to schedule the download of information directly from your search results. The multithreaded synchronization engine will ensure search material can be downloaded in bulk according to a schedule that fits your needs.
